Share Rivet. Earn on what it collects.

If contractors already listen to you — a channel, a newsletter, a group, a supply counter — you get a code. Anyone who signs up with it pays 10% less in their first month, and you earn 10% of that first payment and 5% for 6 months. No calling anyone, no lists, no quotas.

How it works

One code. No pipeline to manage.

1

You get a code and a link

Something like ABC-7K4Q, plus rivet.llc/r/ABC-7K4Q. The code is the part that matters — a contractor can type it at checkout days later, on a different device, with every ad blocker in the world switched on, and it still counts.

2

You share it where you already are

A video, a newsletter, a group post, a conversation at the counter. You tell people you earn a commission, every time — see below, it is not optional.

3

They save, you earn

10% off their first month for them. 10% of what they actually pay for you, then 5% of every payment for 6 months.

What you earn

Ten percent of month one, five percent for half a year.

What one signup pays

One contractor, one plan, list price, no discounts. Arithmetic — not a forecast.

On their first payment

$25.11

10% of the $251.10 they pay after their 10% first-month discount

Every month they stay

$13.95/mo

5% of $279, for 6 months

If they stay all 6 months

$108.81

Month one pays $25.11, then $13.95 a month for 6 months, $108.81 in total.

Commission is calculated on money actually collected — after the discount your code gives them, after any credit, before tax. It holds for 45 days against a refund or a chargeback, then it is yours.

If that contractor refunds or charges back, the commission on that payment was never earned and comes back off the balance. We would rather say that here than in a clause.

These figures are the commission rates applied to published plan prices. They are not a statement about what you or anyone else will earn.

Paid on money actually collected

Your commission is a share of what the contractor really paid — after their discount, after any credit, before tax. That is also why we never quietly cancel your commission when a bigger promotion beats your discount: if a founding-member price saves them more, they get that instead, and you are paid all the same.

Held 45 days, then paid monthly

Our refund window is 30 days, plus two weeks for a chargeback to surface. After that it releases, and payouts run once a month through Stripe with a $50 minimum. Stripe holds your identity and bank details — Rivet never sees them.

$25 when a Rivet Partner closes someone who typed your code

Occasionally a partner is already working a contractor who then signs up with your code. The partner takes the commission, the contractor keeps your discount, and you get a flat assist payment. We would rather write that rule down now than decide it case by case later.

Your dashboard shows the whole chain

Every referral, the date their payment cleared, the date each amount releases and what it is worth — visible before it pays, not after. You will not see anything about Rivet customers themselves, and you will never see prospect lists or another affiliate.

What you are agreeing to

Six rules, in plain words, before you take a code.

US law treats an affiliate as an endorser with a material connection to the brand. The rules below are the practical version of that — they come from the FTC’s endorsement guides (16 CFR Part 255) and its rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465). They protect you as much as us: an undisclosed endorsement is a problem for the person who posted it.

1

Say you earn a commission — every single time

Not once in a pinned comment, not buried in a description, not in a hashtag at the end. Every post, video, email or message that points at Rivet carries it. The legal standard is "clear and conspicuous": someone scrolling past has to be able to notice it without hunting. In a video, say it out loud AND put it on screen while you say it. In a post, put it above the "…more" cut. Plain words are fine and are better than legal ones — "I get paid if you sign up with my code" is a perfect disclosure.

2

Never pose as an ordinary customer

If you have not used Rivet, do not describe using it. If you have, say so and say you are an affiliate in the same breath. Posting a review that hides the connection is exactly what the FTC calls a deceptive endorsement, and as our affiliate you count as an insider.

3

Only claim what we have actually told you

Prices and features come from us and from this site. Do not invent results, do not promise a contractor will book more work, do not quote a number we have not published. If a claim is not on rivet.llc, do not make it. Ask us and we will tell you whether it is true.

4

Never pay for, trade for, or steer a review

No incentives for a review of Rivet in exchange for anything, and never one conditioned on it being positive. Civil penalties for fake and incentivised reviews reach tens of thousands of dollars per violation, and they attach to the person who posted as well as to us.

5

No cold calls, no cold texts, no recorded voice

Affiliates share links. They do not dial strangers. Calling or texting a contractor who never asked to hear from you is where the real liability lives — the TCPA runs $500 to $1,500 per call, and most contractor numbers are the owner’s own cell. If phoning contractors is the part you want, that is a different program with different training, and it is over on the partner page.

6

We check the places you name — and only those

That is why the form asks where you will post. Once a month we look at the channels you declared and keep a record either way. If something is missing a disclosure we tell you and give you a chance to fix it. Patterns of deception end the partnership.

Things that end it immediately

Signing up under your own code or a family member’s. Buying traffic against Rivet’s own brand terms. Posting a fabricated review or testimonial. Cold calling, cold texting or robocalling contractors. Any of these forfeits the outstanding balance and closes the account — and unlike everything else here, there is no warning step.

This page describes our program, not your legal position. It is not legal advice — if you promote for a living, your own counsel is worth the hour.

Who this suits

People contractors already listen to.

Trade YouTubers and podcasters. Newsletter writers. Owners of busy Facebook groups. Bookkeepers and consultants who work with home-services shops. The people behind a supply-house counter who hear the same complaint ten times a day. Contractors who already use Rivet and get asked about it.

No minimum audienceNo quotaNo cost, everEvery state

Affiliate or partner?

Affiliate — you share a link with people who already follow you. No calling, no prospect lists, no approval before each post. Open in every state. 10% then 5% for 6 months.

Rivet Partner — you phone contractors from lists we provide, by hand, one at a time. Higher commission, real training, a phone call before approval, and only in the states where we can do it properly. See that program.

They are separate on purpose — different agreements, different rules, different data. Being one does not make you the other, and nobody is moved between them quietly.

Questions

The ones worth asking.

Do I need an audience to be approved?+

No minimum number. We do want to see where you would post, because that is what we check each month — and because a code handed to someone with nowhere to put it helps neither of us.

How long does approval take?+

Usually a couple of days. Sign-up is self-serve but every code is issued by hand after we look at what you sent. There is no phone call unless you want one.

Does the contractor have to click my link?+

No, and this is the useful part: the code works on its own. If they type ABC-7K4Q at checkout three weeks later on a different computer, it is still yours. The link sets a first-party cookie as a backup, and nothing about attribution depends on a third-party tracker.

What if they already got a better discount?+

Discounts never stack at Rivet — the best single one wins. If a founding-member price saves them more than your code, they get that. Your commission is calculated on what they paid and is completely unaffected by which discount won.

What do you store about me?+

Name, email, phone, state, and the channels you told us about. Identity and bank details go straight to Stripe. We never store an SSN, a date of birth or a bank number, not even the last four digits.

Is there a cost?+

None. No fee to join, no software to buy, no minimum spend. If anyone ever asks you to pay Rivet to be an affiliate, it is not us.

Your code takes about two minutes to request.

Tell us where you post, agree to the disclosure rules, and we will send a code once we have read it.
